The Rhine is fine but I'll take the Mosel every time.

The Rhine River Valley is famous for its castles, vineyards and the wine they produce as well as scenic crusies and rail tours. I have been down the Rhine and it is impressive but it can be very crowded and a bit industrial in places. For me the Mosel River Valley which spurs off of the Rhine at Koblenz and south to Cochem is what many believed the Rhine would be.
Its more peaceful, more laid back and has equally impressive vineyards which border the river and rise to the tops of the Mosel Valleys impressive hills. The towns along the way are romantic and dotted with small inns and B and B's. Enjoy the short video below of some of the Mosel Valleys scenic wonders.
