We spent 4 nights in Cornwall and it was wonderful in every way. We based at the Blue Seas Hotel, a B and B in Penzance where our host Fiona was quite helpful with her advice on sites to see each morning. With her hospitality and her husband Arnaud's cooking, each day got off to a great start.
On the video attached you will see some of the coastal areas we visited by car and on foot as there is an extensive network of walking paths along the Cornwall coast, including portions of the South West Trail. We also visited Tintagel Castle, the purported real home of the fictional King Arthur, whose exploits are world renown. Also, don't miss Cape Cornwall and the many Tin Mine ruins that dot the coastline and remind us that at one time Cornwall supplied much of the tin that the world consumed and that the Cornish miners were legendary for their ability to deep mine tin, even going miles under the ocean to extract this once precious mineral. You can visit one of the mines, Geevor Mine near Pendeen.
The seafood is great and there are many wonderful fishing villages along the way, Port Issac, Padstow, St Ives, Newlyn and of course Penzance are all very reachable and easy to visit. The pub tradition is very much alive in Cornwall and Penzance has a few quite nice ones with a lot of history and decorative art that will interest you while you have a pint or a full meal. We especially enjoyed the Admiral Benbow in Penzance that has hosted guests since 1690.
Enjoy the video and if you would like to visit this wonderful corner of England I can help you plan a trip to here or any other place in the UK.
